Farm Goodness

 Good times with great friends at their new farm last weekend. Such a beautiful slice of the earth. We ate, drank and enjoyed the new signs of life brought about by the night's storm. 

All so good for the soul.

A Sunday Picnic

What better way to start the school holidays than with a picnic. We took a trip out to Mundaring Weir on Sunday to enjoy the bush and to remind ourselves that we still like each other (despite a long school term, hot weather and all the rest that goes with being a family).

It has been so long since Perth has had any decent rain, and the dam looked pitifully low. Let's hope we are in for a wet winter. 

I am about to start a very long break from my job (fourteen weeks...but who's counting!) I am hoping to relax more and blog more.

Gone Bush

Last weekend we 'went bush', just for a day. It was hot and dry for the most part, but we found signs of life down by the river. So nice to be away from the urban buzz.

I am already hoping for a new adventure this weekend!
